Homemade Pizza Base Sauce

Though you can easily get it in supermarkets, still I did write it for people who would prefer it chemical and preservative free. Really easy and no stove involved, you would only need a mixer grinder or blender.

Ingredients:

1 kg whole or diced tomatoes
1 small white onion
6 cloves of garlic, roughly chopped
4 fresh basil leaves (Optional)
1 small teaspoon Apple Cider Vinegar
1 teaspoon Oregano
A pinch each of salt and black pepper
Just a little olive oil

Method:

Combine tomatoes, onion, garlic, basil leaves, vinegar, oregano, salt, pepper and olive oil and mix it in mixer grinder or blender.
Blend them till they are completely pureed.
Now taste your sauce and add salt, pepper, oregano or olive oil if you feel the need to do so. Blend for a few more seconds.
The sauce is ready to be used as it is, just smear it onto the pizza bases now.

Storage:

You can refrigerate the above pizza sauce for upto a week. However, if you want to prolong the storage, you can store it for upto 3 months by transferring the sauce into muffin tins and freezing until solid. Then, pop them out of the muffin tins and into the freezer container.
Microwave them for 30 seconds the next time you wish to defreeze the solid sauce and use it on pizza base.
