Roti (Chapati) Pizza

So few days back,  I did post a picture of Roti Pizza on my Instagram and some people did ask me for the recipe. Best thing about it is that, you can even cook this on tava. So, here you go... 


Ingredients:

Chapati (Preferably of last night, it would be crispier)
1 tomato, finely chopped
1 onion, finely chopped
Cheese slices; 1 would do, but if you can use 2 slices if you like the concept of double cheese...
Pizza base sauce (You can easily get it in the market, but if you want to make it on your own at home, here is the link . )


Method:

Take the chapati, and smear it with pizza sauce. Now add the onion and tomato as per your desired quantity. Tear the cheese slices into small pieces and put it around the whole chapati in a way that the cheese covers almost every sphere of the chapati.
Now if you have microwave, do heat it for minimum of 25 seconds and a maximum of 1 minute, or as long as the cheese takes to melt and the chapati takes to become crispier. 

But if you do not have microwave, then put a little, just a little oil on the tava, put the chapati on it, and then cover the chapati with a plate large enough to cover it, so as to not let the steam escape. Cook it like that for 3-5 minutes. 
Now switch the stove off, and carefully remove the plate as it will be pretty hot. Now take the roti pizza off the stove and enjoy. Personally, I didn't find much difference in taste of this home cooked pizza and that of thin crusted store's pizza.
